Ferdinando Guerra

Associate Economist
Kyser Center for Economic Research

Ferdinando Guerra joined the LAEDC’s Kyser Center for Economic Research in April 2009 as an Associate Economist.  Mr. Guerra is a primary contributor to the annual International Trade and Trends report and writes the international sections of LAEDC’s Economic Forecasts.  In addition, he compiles the weekly Business Scan and contributes regularly to the Kyser Center’s e-EDGE weekly newsletter.

Prior to joining LAEDC, Mr. Guerra served as an economist for David Taussig & Associates, an economic consulting firm, preparing economic and fiscal impact reports for private sector clients and public agencies.  He also has worked in the financial services industry, for MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International) and the American Stock Exchange.  Previously, Mr. Guerra had been an Economist with Standard & Poor’s DRI, focusing on energy and chemical prices, international inflation and special client reports. 

Mr. Guerra earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations from the University of Southern California (USC).  He received his Master of Arts degree in International Economics and International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).  Mr. Guerra is a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE).
