Nancy Jordan

Regional Manager, Central and South Los Angeles and Westside
Business Assistance & Development

Nancy Jordan joined the LAEDC Business Assistance Team first as Layoff Aversion Regional Manager in March 2010, working on the Southeast Area Social Services Funding Authority (SASSFA) Layoff Aversion Contract. In November 2010, she assumes the role of regional manager for the Central and South Los Angeles and the Westside regions.

Nancy brings over 15 years experience in non-profit, corporate client relations, business development, project management, marketing, public outreach and communications and fundraising to her position at the LAEDC.  From 2004-2009, Nancy served as the Director of Marketing and Member Services for the Building Industry Association of Southern California, the local chapter of the National Association of Homebuilders. She was responsible for member relations, attraction and retention, as well as all fundraising duties, including event management and strategic relations. Her efforts were recognized at the local and state levels, and she received the chapter’s President’s Award in 2005. Prior to joining the BIA, Nancy worked at a public water agency as their Community Relations Director. She also spent nearly 10 years with The Walt Disney Company as a Project Manager for Corporate Retail.

As a Southern California Native, and a long-time resident of the Santa Clarita Valley, Nancy is passionate about the local history of her community.  She was a freelance writer for a local historical society and was the host of a history special with the Public Access Channel.
