Peter Ruiz joined the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation in August 2010. With over 13 years of professional business experience, Mr. Ruiz has had the opportunity to work with national and regional companies. His business experience is across various industries and includes commercial real estate, international trade financing, and marketing/advertising.
Mr. Ruiz received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University with an emphasis in Marketing and a Minor in Hispanic Business Studies. This led toward an MBA in International Business at California State University, Los Angeles. He later completed the Ross Minority Program in Real Estate (RMPIRE) at the University of Southern California.
Mr. Ruiz currently serves on the Board for the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA, the Los Angeles chapter board for the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s (NSHMBA), and the Sierra Club’s Diversity Committee. He is also actively involved with Loyola Marymount University and its Mexican American Alumni Association (MAAA).
