The LAEDC's team of professionals offer confidential, free-of-charge information
and assistance to decision makers and consultants representing both large and
small, domestic and international businesses in the manufacturing, distribution and service industries.
The LAEDC's Business Assistance Program is the central point of contact
for factual and timely information on a broad range of business development
and location factors. In an effort to keep businesses in LA County, our
Business Assistance specialists act as confidential liaisons with city and
county officials, business leaders and other economic development allies such
as trade organizations and chambers of commerce to provide a variety of services including:
- Coordinated Site Search
- Demographic Information
- Incentive Zones Information (Enterprise, Revitalization, Empowerment, Foreign Trade)
- Assistance with Securing Incentives
- Facilitating the Permitting Process (City, County, State, Environmental)
- Labor Market Information
- Educational and Job Training institutions to accomodate labor needs (Placement and Customized Training Programs)
- Utility and Transportation Services
- Public Financing Programs (local, state and federal) including industrial development bonds
- Identification of Traditional Financing Opportunities
- Coordinating with the port, foreign trade zone, railroads and utility companies
