Success StoriesThe LAEDC, long recognized as the premier economic development organization for the region, has been extremely successful in attracting, retaining, and expanding businesses and the jobs they created during the last 10 years. In May of 2005, the LAEDC reached a milestone by successfully creating and retaining 100,000 jobs. Last fiscal year, April 2004 through March 2005, was a very successful year for the LAEDC's BAP Department. The BAP Department finished the year at 103% of its goal for job creation, creating and retaining 17,539 jobs in the county.
