Connecting Californians to Careers
"More than two million California jobs are trade-related and the growing field of logistics moving, managing and distributing goods is producing tens of thousands of well-paying careers for our people." - Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger
The California Transportation & Logistics Institute (CaTLI) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) formed in 2007 in partnership with the California Community College (CCC) and the California State University (CSU) Systems to promote the growth of careers in the Transportation & Logistics (T&L) Industry in California and address the rapidly growing need for skilled workers seeking living wage jobs.
CaTLI serves two customers - the Transportation & Logistics Industry businesses looking for skilled workers; and job-seekers and workers looking to advance their careers. CaTLI provides:
• Customized training for companies and organizations for new and/or incumbent workers.
• Industry driven skills training certificate and degree programs from high school to the university level to train and educate students, job seekers and current employees.
The key to the success of CaTLI is the active participation of T&L businesses and organizations who have stepped forward to help reshape the way California’s educators develop and deliver T&L training & education. They are working closely with the CCCs and CSUs to define the requirements for T&L training and education; reviewing existing curriculum to determine fit; identifying current gaps and helping the schools develop new courses to meet the industry’s growing needs for qualified workers. We invite all interested T&L businesses and organizations to join CaTLI and partner with California’s educators to prepare and maintain a world class transportation and logistics workforce.
CaTLI is a new and growing organization – so is our web site. We will continue to add more information and features as we grow. Please use the handy navigation links on the left side of the page to access additional information in your area of interest.
