The LAEDC Economic Forecast and Industry Outlook is Southern California’s premier source for in-depth economic information and analysis on Los Angeles County and the surrounding areas.  The LAEDC’s Economic Information team updates its annual economic forecast report in the summer which is presented at the Mid-Year Economic Forecast event.  This event is attended by more than 300 of the region’s top business, education, civic, and government leaders. 

The LAEDC’s economic research reports are broadly used by the media, government, and private industry organizations, and have been ranked #1 by the Wall Street Journal.  This year’s mid-year forecast event features two panels, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Economic Overview.  The LAEDC will present the final report of its Foreign Direct Investment study highlighting the economic impact of foreign investments into the regional economy and will also provide an update on the housing, financial markets, and overall health of the five-county area.
