Welcome to Membership/Strategic Relations
The LAEDC announced a new department, Strategic Relations, which will incorporate its very successful Investor Relations program as well as new efforts to attract and engage leadership from the municipal and educational institutions in Los Angeles County. Successful economic development organizations around the country have recognized that their missions can best be implemented through real public private partnerships involving government and education along with the private sector.
With the increasing emphasis on creating business friendly environments to enable cities and counties to attract and retain job creating businesses, and the needs of 21st century businesses for skilled workforces to compete globally, we will be seeking to engage more participation from the cities and educational institutions in our region.
