article1-blackstone-logoLAEDC, the regional partner for Blackstone LaunchPad is pleased to announce that both USC and UCLA are kicking-off the LaunchPad programs on their campuses with big events in the next few days.  This is a significant step forward for LA’s innovation economy, investing in companies that will create tomorrow’s jobs in LA.

One thing that makes LaunchPad different is that the program is open to all students at these universities — not just a particular degree or management school.  Students with ideas from fashion to food to science to skateboards, all receive mentoring and venture coaching and can access the resources needed to start-up companies.

USC’s press release is here and the event is Nov 5, 2014 from 4-6pm.

UCLA’s press release is here and the event is  Nov 10, 2014.

UC-Irvine has already kicked off their program and it is underway!

More details here, from the February announcement of the LaunchPad program here in SoCal.
